Medical Writing and Editing

Different Audiences, Different Voices

The following types of medical communication all require a different level of complexity, and a keen understanding of the needs of the target audience(s):

  • Peer-reviewed journal manuscript for Immunity or Journal of Molecular Evolution
  • Article for bench scientists in Clinical Laboratory Science
  • Clinical Study Newsletter provided to the investigative sites participating in a drug trial
  • Article for Health Center Employee newsletter highlighting employee accomplishments
  • Informed Consent Form for a clinical trial
  • Case study for a primary-care physicians' magazine
  • Clinical Study Report for a drug trial
  • Article for oncology patients on how to plan a cruise vacation

  • I can help you with projects like these and many others. The first 30 minute consultation and bid preparation are free. I provide flexible pricing options to suit client needs. Please don't hesitate to call (434-361-2539) or e-mail me (mail@inkville.biz) with your questions.

A selection of my medical writing and editing experience is listed below. For a complete list, see Publications.

During my time as a medical writer at a Contract Research Organization (CRO), I provided regulatory writing (Clinical Study Reports, Investigational Drug Brochures, Informed Consent Forms etc.). I also designed, edited and provided content for hundreds of study newsletters in oncology, central nervous system (CNS) and other disease indications, and worked on a wide variety of other publications and patient recruitment materials.
